Amer Leisure Hldg Com (OTCMKTS:AMLH)’s CEO Christian Bishop has announced the company’s move to work with The Engine in a number of upcoming developments – among them an eSports content winning line-up for distribution and sale to both digital platforms as well as traditional network television. They will also offer public relations and marketing services to GG studios including, launch strategies, competitive analysis and acquisition of license.
Additionally, The Engine will be pushing for outreach in video game industry on behalf of GG Studios. This is expected to boost relationships with major players in production and marketing at the video game publisher globally. The Engine has had past relations with Electronic Arts, Sony, Gameforge, Bandi-Namco, Capcom, Sega, Konami, Atari, Ubisoft, G4 Television, Blizzard, Activision, Cartoon Network, Warner Brothers, Disney, among others.
The Engine, powered by Laddie Ervin and Travis Oates, is highly experienced in gaming including the creation and development of a game series for G4, a pioneer gaming network that is broadcast in over 61 million homes. G4 is jointly owned by Dish Network and NBCUniversal cable division of NBC. Both Ervin and Oates created at least a dozen shows for G4. Ervin served as Director of Program Development and Video Game Industry Liaison and creator of shows, writer and on-air talent. Travis Oates is an actor, director and voice actor. He played the role of Piglet in “My Friends Tigger and Pooh” after the death of John Fielder. Ervin is an award-winning film writer, director and visual effects artist from Los Angeles. He has produced and directed for a number of media and game companies.
The global eSport audience has grown to over 200 million people on a number of leading gaming platforms like TBS as well as online gaming channels like Twitter which stream shows such as ‘Counter-Strike’ by ELEAGUE which has a total of 24 teams from all over the world which participate in two sessions of 10 weeks each. The project is as a result of the joint partnership between WME-IMG and Turner Broadcasting. According to Christina Alejandre, the Vice President of eSport at Turner Sports, the total viewership on the network has been rising in the millions, a trend he attributes to the company’s eSports coverage.
